Today, the search engine giant Google has announced some considerable changes in its executive network. From today, world's popular Chrome and Android head Mr. Pichai becomes the next CEO of the Californian-based Google.
In 2004, Pichai joined Google as low-key manager where he managed the team working on Google's Chrome browser and other works regarding operating system.
In a quick succession, Mr.Pichai earned more responsibility by getting engaged in other Google related products including Android, Gadgets, Desktop Search and etc, which took increasingly meteoric tenor, and soon he became Vice President, then Senior Vice President. Pichai belongs to Chennai, Tamil Nadu and he was born in 1972. He did his schooling from Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Senior Secondary School (PSBB), Nungambakkam.
He lives in San Francisco, California and is married to Anjali Pichai. The couple is blessed with two children: a daughter and a son.

Before joining Google in 2004, he worked with McKinsey & Company.

Pichai was announced as the next CEO of Google on 10 August 2015, after previously being appointed Product Chief by current CEO Larry Page on 24 October 2014.
He will step into the new position upon the completion of the formation of Alphabet Inc., the new conglomerate for the Google company family.
