Airtel Thanks App Now Lets Users Instantly Top Up EV Wallets Across Bharat Connect Networks

Airtel Payments Bank has introduced EV wallet recharges on the Airtel Thanks app through the Bharat Connect BBPS platform. The service is enabled in partnership with NPCI Bharat BillPay Limited, giving app users a single place to add money for electric vehicle charging.

Earlier, most electric vehicle owners needed separate wallets created by individual Charging Point Operators for every charging network. With the new EV Recharge category on the Airtel Thanks app, Airtel Payments Bank users can load money into their existing EV wallets from one interface, supporting seamless and interoperable payments.

To use the feature, customers log in to the Airtel Thanks app and go to the Pay Bills section. They then choose “Recharge EV,” enter the registered mobile number and desired recharge amount, confirm the details, and complete payment through Bharat Connect supported options.

The recharge value appears in the linked EV wallet almost instantly after successful payment. This facility is available to all Airtel Thanks app users, offering secure digital payments and quick access to funds for EV charging through the Bharat BillPay backed Bharat Connect BBPS platform.
