The Verge report have also claimed that Amazon will launch a smartphone today. According to the blog, multiple sources have confirmed that Amazon is indeed working on a smartphone that runs on a variant of Kindle Fire's forked Android version.
As of now, there are no details of the product announcements, but the event is only few hours away and everything would become crystal clear by then.
