AmazonGlobal Saver Shipping Now Available in India for purchases above $125 (Rs 6,873)

Amazon has announced its service extension to the Indian customers, as recently, the leading online retailer has confirmed on its AmazonGlobal Saver Shipping page that the company is now offering free shipping of its products to India to users who will make purchases $125 (approx). 

However, Amazon has made it clear that not all the products in Amazon Store would be shipped to India free. There will be especially two ways for determining whether a specific product comes under this scheme or not. 

In the first method, 

• Enter the product name in the Search Box


• Then add it to the ‘Cart’


• Users will then be asked to sign in with the Amazon account credentials


• Users will be able to determine whether the product is eligible or not from the next screen that is popping up 

However the second method is easier compared to the first one. In this method, instead of searching with the product name, users can try entering the product category. For example, instead of entering the product named ‘Nikon D7000’, it is much better to choose the category as ‘DSLR’. Inside DSLR, select ‘Camera and Photo’. Finally under ‘International Shipping’, choose the ‘AmazonGlobal Eligible’ link. 

However, please note that following conditions override the free shipping offer Amazon is offering on selected products. 

Customs and Import Duties are applicable

Products that weigh more than 20 pounds and oversized are not eligible for free shipping 

Amazon.com has not given many details on this offer like its validity period and how long this offer remains active for Indian consumers. For those looking to get the Amazon products at their doorsteps without any additional costs, this seems to be the best time. 

Further, Amazon has also given a tutorial on its website as, how to take advantage of free AmazonGlobal Saver Shipping. Below are the steps involved. 

Step 1: Place at least $125 of eligible AmazonGlobal Saver products, excluding the Import Fees Deposit, in your Shopping Cart. Most products shipped using the AmazonGlobal Program that are sold by Amazon.com are eligible for AmazonGlobal Saver. Products weighing 20 pounds or more and certain oversized products aren't eligible, though. 

Step 2: Proceed to checkout. 

Step 3: Ship your items to a single address in India. 

Step 4: Select "Group my items into as few shipments as possible" as your shipping preference. 

Step 5: Select AmazonGlobal Saver as your shipping speed. Your order will be delivered within 9-14 business days after all of your items are available to ship (including pre-order items). 

Step 6: Place your order, and enjoy the free shipping.
