Android mini computer available for Rs 5,000
You would have either heard about or used an Android tablet or smartphone, but have you used an Android computer or laptop? A Chinese firm is selling Android 4.0 ICS based thumb drive. This will let you run Android on any monitor take it laptop or computer.
The thumb drive is dubbed MK802 and it is powered by the Allwinner A10 or Cortex A8 processor of 1 GHz speed. It has an internal storage space of 4 GB and 512 MB RAM. The device has connectivity features like Wi-Fi, two USB 2.0 ports and HDMI. It also has a micro SD card slot that supports up to 32 GB.
The device delivers the video output through the 1080p HDMI port. It needs an additional HDMI cable. You can use the virtual Android keyboard or a wireless keyboard and mouse. All these accessories have to be purchased separately. Unfortunately, Google Play Store access is not available and so you have to rely on the third party app stores.
Interestingly, the AllWinner A10 chip lets you run Debian, Ubuntu or any Linux distribution as per your wish through the micro SD card. You can purchase this thumb drive from here. It totals to $74 which is approximately Rs 5,000 in India. This is cheaper than the Cotton Candy.
What do you think about the MK802 mini Android computer? Is it worth paying Rs 5,000 for it? Please share your thoughts in the comments section below.
