Android Users Can Now Share Live Video During Emergencies: How It Works
Google has announced a new feature named Emergency Live Video on Android, which lets you share vital visual information with emergency services in a single tap.
Android Emergency Live Video is aimed at making it easier to get help and providing users peace of mind through features like Emergency Location Service, Car Crash and Fall Detection, and Satellite SOS. Here's how it works:

How It Works
During an emergency call or a text, the dispatcher can request access to your phone to share live video. With just one tap, you can start securely sharing a live video stream, giving responders the ability to quickly assess what's happening so they can send the right help faster.
This real-time view can assist them in guiding you through life-saving steps, like CPR, until help arrives. This process is very simple with no setup required.
During an emergency call or text, if the responder determines that seeing the scene would be helpful and it's safe to do so, they can directly send a request to you.
That time, you'll see a prompt on your screen, and you can choose to start sharing your camera's live video with one tap. The feature is also encrypted by default, and you can also stop sharing instantly at any time.
Availability
The feature is currently rolling out across the U.S and select regions of Germany and Mexico, and is supported on Android phones running Android 8+ with Google Play services. Google also confirms that they are working with public safety organisations around the world to expand this capability to more regions.
