The new iPod touch which unveiled at the September 12 event gets the 4-inch Retina Display with in-cell technology, dual core Apple A5 processor and 5 MP iSight camera.

Further, the next generation iPod touch also runs on iOS 6 and has a powerful battery, which is claimed by Apple to provide up to 40 hours of music playback. Moreover, the new iPod touch supports Siri voice assistant feature and has a Facetime front camera.

The new iPod touch will be available in five colors includiung Black, White, Cyan, Red and Yellow, and it will have an in-built hook, which is called the Loop.

Coming to the variants - the new iPod touch will be available in 32GB and 64GB confirgurations. Apple will ship the new EarPod earphones with the new iPod touch and will be shipped in October.
