Apple WWDC 2026 Developer Conference Dates Announced: iOS 27, Apple Intelligence, And What Else To Expect
Apple has officially announced the schedule for WWDC 2026, its annual developer conference that usually sets the tone for the company’s software plans for the next year.
This year’s event runs from June 8 to June 12, with the main keynote scheduled for June 8 at 10:30 PM IST.

That’s where Apple is expected to unveil the next versions of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and more. The company has also confirmed that AI updates will be a major part of this year’s announcements.
The keynote will be streamed live on Apple’s website, Apple TV app, and YouTube channel.
AI Will Be One of the Biggest Focus Areas
Apple hasn’t shared exact details yet, but the company says WWDC 2026 will introduce new AI features, developer technologies, and software tools across Apple platforms.
A lot of attention will naturally be on Apple Intelligence and how Apple plans to expand its AI features after the rollout started gaining momentum over the past year.
Developers are also expected to get access to new APIs and machine learning tools that could eventually show up in third-party apps.
Platforms State Of The Union Starts After the Keynote
Apple will also host its annual Platforms State of the Union session on June 9 at 1:30 AM IST.
This session is usually more technical and focuses on APIs, frameworks, developer tools, and deeper platform-level changes coming to Apple devices.
The stream will be available through the Apple Developer app, website, and YouTube channel.
Over 100 Sessions Planned Throughout the Week
Apple says developers will get access to more than 100 sessions covering topics like:
- Apple Intelligence
- App development
- Design changes
- Machine learning
- Graphics and gaming
- Developer tools and frameworks
The company will also run Group Labs, where developers can directly interact with Apple engineers and designers through online Q&A sessions.
Apple Design Awards Finalists Also Revealed
Alongside the WWDC announcement, Apple also revealed this year’s Apple Design Awards finalists.
The awards recognize apps and games across categories like Innovation, Inclusivity, Interaction, Social Impact, and Visuals and Graphics.
Winners will be announced during WWDC week.
Swift Student Challenge Winners Invited to Apple Park
Apple confirmed that 350 students were selected as winners in this year’s Swift Student Challenge. Out of them, 50 Distinguished Winners have been invited to Cupertino for a special three-day experience during WWDC week.
The initiative is part of Apple’s ongoing push to encourage younger developers and students interested in app development.
