CES 2026: Google Previews Gemini-Powered Features Coming to Google TV
At CES 2026, Google showcased how Gemini is set to make Google TV smarter and more intuitive, introducing new ways for users to interact with their TVs across a wider range of brands and devices, including projectors.
Viewers can now explore favourite topics through a new visual layout that mixes images, videos, and real-time sports updates with Gemini’s answers. For tougher subjects, "Deep dives" give narrated, interactive explainers that break ideas down for every member of the household.

Google TV Gemini features for discovery and control
Instead of opening complex setting menus, viewers can adjust sound and picture using everyday language. Saying "the screen is too dim" changes brightness, while "the dialogue is lost" tweaks audio levels, all without pausing the film, show, or live stream.
Google TV Gemini tools for photos and media
Gemini can search Google Photos on the TV for particular people, trips, or events. Photos Remix lets viewers apply artistic looks, while memories can turn into cinematic immersive slideshows. With Nano Banana and Veo, people can also reshape personal photos or create original clips on the TV.
Google says these Gemini features will arrive first on select TCL models. Other Google TV devices are expected to receive the functions over the following months, bringing the same style of visual answers, media tools, and voice-led controls to more living rooms.
