Computers, Printer Stolen from Government Office Premises
Nashik, Dec 17 (PTI) Three computers and a printer worth Rs 28,000 have been stolen from the Maharashtra state government's food and civil supply office despite the premises being heavily guarded and also equipped with closed circuit television camera surveillance.
According to Assistant Commissioner of Police Ravindra Wadekar the theft was noticed by an employee on Monday after he reported for duty. The burglary had taken place between Saturday and Sunday which were holidays.
After he saw office files scattered and three computers missing along with a printer, he informed his office head, who informed the Sarkarwada police station, Wadekar said.

The police rushed to the spot with a dog squad and finger print experts, as well as registered offences under Section 380 as well as Section 457 of the Indian Penal Code. Incidentally, similar thefts in the premises of the collecter's office were reported earlier.
