Day 2 CES roundup
The CES 2018 has kick-started as usual in Las Vegas with world’s leading tech manufacturers showcasing their latest product updates, new gadgets, and innovations. This year the event starts on January 9 and ends on January 12, 2018. As we are marching towards day 3, many bigwigs have announced their product. In this article, let's take a look at the roundup of what has been launched on CES 2018, Day 2.
Lenovo Smart Displays
Lenovo in-ties with Google has launched intuitive Smart Displays with built-in Google Assistant and full HD touchscreen display. In this device, with the help of Google Assistant, you can get the latest weather, traffic and meeting schedules or you can do video calling with Google Duo. It is powered by Qualcomm Home Hub Platform based on the Qualcomm SDA 624 SoC and available in soft Grey or natural Bamboo color.
HTV Vive Pro
Following the rumors, HTC has launched the latest Vive version on the CES 2018 billed as Vive Pro. The Vive Pro boasts an increased resolution of 2,880 x 1,600 pixels, which lets you play games at 3K resolution. It also has dual OLED displays with 615ppi to boot. It also comes with a redesigned head strap which is now easy to mount and unmount.
Sony OLED TV's
Following the success of its first 4K OLED TV's, Sony launched 2018's 4K OLED series in the name of AF8. It has the same 4K HDR X1 Extreme processor and Acoustic Surface technology and comes in 55-inch and 65-inch. Also, it features the standard HDR10 and HLG formats, along with Dolby Vision HDR.

Rokid AR Glasses
Rokid is an AI company based in China, showcased AR glasses called Rokid Glass. This AR glass runs on batteries and has an inbuilt internal processor for computing. It also has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to communicate with a smartphone for additional processing power and to connect to the internet.
ThirdEye's X1 Smart Glasses
ThirdEye unveiled their piece of tech called X1. This device packs the latest sensors and chips in an ergonomic body. With this device, users will experience 1280 x 720-pixel binocular display which is equivalent to a 90-inch screen at around 3 meters. It has a three-screen interface that allows users to have a choice between a clear field of vision, video/audio files or data. Each screen can be accessed by simply rotating their head.
Lenovo Miix 630
Lenovo launched the Miix 630 2-in-1 Hybrid powered by the ARM. This device runs Windows 10 S and features LTE connectivity. This hybrid is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC and comes with a Windows Ink-supporting digital pen capable of 1,024 levels of pressure.
Intel autonomous helicopter
This year in CES, Intel showed off an 18-rotor air taxi prototype known as the Volocopter VC200. This was made by a startup with a strength of 50 persons from Germany. The Volocopter 2X features a flight time of 30 minutes and a maximum range of 17 miles.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1
Lenovo has updated its ThinkPad series with the latest X1 notebook in CES 2018. This 2-in-1 tablet comes with a 13-inch screen with HDR support with a resolution of 3,000 x 2,000 pixels. It runs on Intel's latest 8th gen Core i7 processor with battery backup of up to 9 hours. It also works on Pen Pro, which supports 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity.
Kate Spade smartwatch
This smartwatch is all about looks rather than performance, which is smaller and thinner than the average Android Wear present in the market. It also has a built-in app that allows you to tailor the watch face according to your current style. It is powered by Qualcomm's 1.3GHz Snapdragon Wear 1200 processor and has a microphone for Google Assistant.
Digital Storm Spark
It is a full gaming desktop based on Intel's Z370 chipset with a Nvidia GTX 1080 GPU and an Intel Core-i7 8700K processor. The cooling part is taken care of the hardline liquid-cooling system. It will be available in Q2 2018 fitted with a Nvidia GTX 1060 graphics card.
