Facebook F8 Developer Conference Kicks off Today: Messenger, VR & More
Facebook's F8 developers' conference is kicking off today, on March 25, at the Fort Mason Center in San Francisco, and it will bring us a preview of ton of announcements.
The F8 conference will take place over two days and the firm expects 2,000 developers to attend the major developers' conference.

Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook's co-founder and CEO, will be giving the keynote address at 10:30pm (India time). F8 has been a more consumer-focused event, with "Facebook announcing big strategic shifts", notes CNET.
At this year's F8 developers' conference, expectations are also high for new announcements related to core services being offered by Facebook.
According to a published report, the social networking company has accidentally leaked most of its new announcements a little early, just before the conference.
The official F8 app seems to have sent out a notification to attendees ahead of the developers' conference, detailing what they can expect. The alert reads: "Just revealed: Parse for IoT, Messenger as a Platform, and the Teleportation Station".
For beginners, "Messenger as a Platform" confirms that Facebook is indeed planning to turn its Messenger app into a platform that developers can build upon, on the lines of Line and WeChat, writes Rob Price of Business Insider.
Just recently, the social networking company introduced the ability to send quick, instant payments to friends via its Messenger app as a way of sharing money.
"Parse for IoT," meanwhile, hints at Facebook's app building platform Parse. It seems like the social network company is going to invest heavily in the "Internet of Things" ("IoT").
If rumors are to be believed, Facebook could talk about the virtual reality (VR). Over the past few months, the company has talked little about its Oculus (VR) headset.
