Facebook's step toward prioritizing Local news in News Feed is now available globally
Facebook will prioritize local news in News Feed. The latest News Feed algorithm is live and supports all language on its platform.
Facebook the social networking giant has recently been a victim of Data Privacy scandal following which the company apologized for the whole situation. However, keeping the scandal aside the company has recently made an announcement that it will now prioritize news contents from local resources and publishers.
As per some reports from the Beebom, Facebook today has confirmed that its latest updated News Feed algorithm will be now available for the users globally. Further, the latest News Feed algorithm is live and supports all language on its platform.
The report further suggested that Facebook took it to its official blog to post this information and made a statement stating that "Today we are expanding that update to people in all countries, in all languages. Now people around the world will see more news on Facebook from local sources covering a user's current city and other cities which they want to know about". The change at the moment is limited to certain regions of the United States of America, however, there is no information on when the update will be available for the rest of the world. We will keep you posted with the further updates related to the News Feed availability.
Also in one of our earlier articles related to Facebook, we covered that Facebook was working towards making its UI simpler for users to manage their group chats on Messenger.
