FASTag Rs 3,000 Annual Pass Launched! Who Can Apply, How It Works, and Key Benefits

The Government of India has announced the launch of a FASTag-based Annual Pass priced at ₹3,000, effective from August 15, 2025. This pass aims to facilitate seamless and cost-effective travel on National Highways across the nation. It is tailored for non-commercial private vehicles like cars, jeeps, and vans.

It will be valid for one year or up to 200 trips-whichever comes first-the pass offers a convenient solution for frequent highway travellers. The initiative is part of efforts to enhance the efficiency of toll payments and reduce congestion at toll plazas.

Key Features and Benefits

The Annual Pass will allow seamless travel across National Highways by simplifying toll payments into a single transaction. This move addresses issues related to toll plazas within a 60 km range, aiming to cut down wait times and disputes.

Users can activate or renew their passes through a dedicated link on the Rajmarg Yatra App or via the official websites of NHAI and MoRTH. Nitin Gadkari, the Road Transport and Highway Minister, said, ''the dedicated link for activation and renewal will soon be made available.'' This digital approach ensures easy access and management of the pass for users.
