Flipkart announces "Independence Day Sale" dates, discounts offers and more

Flipkart's version will be called "The Big Freedom Sale".

    While Amazon is set to begin its "Great India Sale" starting August 9 which will go on until August 12, e-commerce major Flipkart has also announced that the company will be hosting an Independence Day sale around the same time.

    However, Flipkart's version will be called "The Big Freedom Sale" and the sale will start on August 9 and end on August 11. If you are interested in purchasing any electronic devices or any other cool gadgets or accessories the sale may be the right time to do so.

    While these are exciting times for the consumers, Flipkart has announced discounts on several of its products like mobile phones, TVs, laptops, tablets, headphones, cameras, and accessories.

    "With a minimum 71 percent off on products under numerous categories including mobiles, various electronic gadgets and accessories and more, online shoppers are sure to have a field day shopping for their favorite products online at an extremely discounted rate."

    "Electronic gadgets and accessories like tablets, laptops, headphones, power banks and the like are all available at an assured 50 percent discount rate in association with the special independence day sale on Flipkart," the company said. In addition, there will also be instant discounts for HDFC credit card holders.

    Offers on Mobile Phones

    Flipkart has unveiled preview of several offers on its website ahead of the The Big Freedom Sale. The Moto M and Moto G5 Plus, priced at Rs. 15,999 and Rs. 16,999, will be available for Rs. 12,999 and Rs. 14,999, respectively.

    Similarly, the Lenovo K5 Note originally retailing at Rs. 12,499 can be purchased at Rs. 9,999, while K6 Power with an original price of Rs. 9,999 will get Rs. 1,000 discount and will be available at Rs. 8,999. Even Google Pixel XL's is getting a price cut and the smartphone where its official price is Rs. 67,000 during the sale the device will come at Rs. 48,999. Apple iPhone 6 32GB model will also likely get a price cut too.

    However, if you are a Xiaomi fan then there is some good news for you, the popular smartphone Redmi Note 4 will be available for purchase on all three days of the Flipkart sale. Further, buyers will get Rs. 1,000 off on exchange of an old smartphone. So this time there should not be any problem in getting the device as it will be readily available.

    Offers on TVs

    The Flipkart sale will also include offers for TVs. As such, Sony HD Ready LED Smart TV (32-inch) which is priced at Rs. 32,900 will come at Rs. 2_,999, while the Vu 45-inch UHD Smart TV be costing Rs. 3_,999 instead of Rs. 45,000.

    Additionally, the 43-inch Onida Full HD LED Smart TV will have a price cut from Rs. 33,990 to Rs. 2_,999. Vu's 39-inch Full HD LED TV will see a price cut from Rs. 26,500 to Rs. 2_,999, and finally Micromax's 32-inch HDR LED TV will go down from Rs. 19,990 to Rs. 1_,999. Flipkart is yet to list the final prices.

    Offers on Laptops and More

    Coming to the laptops, Flipkart has announced that Intel Core i3 laptops will see price cuts as well. The company has further revealed that Lenovo Yoga 3 Android tablet will be available at a price of Rs. 1_,990, whereas ink tank printers will be up for sale at Rs. 6,999 and will include an exchange offer.

    Moreover, 10000mAh Lenovo power-bank will be listed at Rs. 999 in the sale, while Flipkart SmartBuy power-banks will be available for Rs. _49.

    Apart from these offers, Flipkart will also be running Spotlight of the Hour deals, and the company will be providing new arrivals and exclusive launches in TV and mobile phone categories.
