    Google rolls out Android 4.0.4 ICS update

     

    Google made an official announcement that it will roll out the Android 4.0.4 ICS update. This is applicable to several devices manufactured by various companies. It includes Samsung Nexus S, Samsung Galaxy Nexus HSPA+ and Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi.

    Currently, this update is available in selected countries only. For instance, the Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi is getting ICS in United States. The other versions will get the update later.

    The Indian users have to wait to receive the Android ICS update on the Nexus S smartphones. This will bring stability improvements, improved phone number recognition smoother screen rotation, better camera performance and more fixes.

    The criteria is that the devices must be running on the stock build of the Android 4.0.3 or Gingerbread. As and when the update is released, the users will get a notification on their smartphones. This way they can download and install it quickly. Let us hope that the update comes soon to India.
