Google “Solve for India” is a program to help Indian Startups grow
Google's mentorship program is said to be an extension of the company's pilot program that was sought to discover startups which are doing a commendable job in various fields.
Google is aiming towards expanding its reach for providing services to Indian companies. With the release of services like the Google Job Search in India recently along with the Google Home Donut shops for multiple numbers of India cities. Google's next major announcement specifically for the Indian users comes in the form of Google Launchpad platform in the form of 'Solve For India' program. The Solve for India program is an effort by the tech giant to engage with innovative Indian startups and also help them grow with guidance from Google experts.

As per some sources from the Beebom, Google will choose Indian startups from different domains for a three-month mentorship program which will help the startups to scale up their operations and also increase their productivity. This will be achieved by implementing breakthrough solutions like machine learning and AI (Artificial Intelligence).
It is being further reported that the mentorship program that was announced at the conclusion of Google's first boot camp event that was held for Indian startups. The program will be focusing on budding firms that are building (B2B) Business to Business and (B2C) tech products and solutions which are aiming to solve India's local need of solutions using technologies including machine language (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI).

As per the sources Google India's Developer Relations Lead, Karthik Padmanabhan commented that "We are seeing a lot of entrepreneurs who are solving local problems across sectors like agriculture, local language services, healthcare, environment, retail, education and microfinance. With this program, our objective is to build a bridge between startups and the industry ecosystem and provide them with the right technical support and mentorship to help them succeed", he further added.

Further, the Google's mentorship program is said to be an extension of the company's pilot program that was sought to discover startups which are doing a commendable job in various fields including healthcare, fintech, agriculture, linguistic along with some online content etc. The tech giant will be selecting 10 startups from across 15 cities to attend the boot camp event in Bengaluru. Google is also working on scaling up the pilot mentorship in order to achieve their objectives and also is aiming towards officially start the programs in 2018's second half.
