Google+ to have 400 mn users in 2012

Google Plus, the social networking website of Google is estimated to have over 400 million users within the end of 2012 claims a researcher. The social networking service was opened for the users in September and within a quarter it has reached a user count of 62 million.

Paul Allen, an American analyst claims that every day around 625, 000 users are signing up to this network and this figure increases rapidly as about 700,.000 Android powered devices are purchased every day.

Allen also said that the accelerated growth indicates that this year will surely be a breakout for Google+ and that by the end of this year the network will reach over 400 million users. Facebook, the rival of Google+ has a user count of 800 million.

But as per a source, this estimate by Allen is a guess and it is not based on the actual figures. Google+ was announced to have 150 million users as of last week by Global Web Index. This shows that Allen's predictions are just half than the exact figure. However, Google has declined to comment on this.
