Google to stop displaying Cryptocurrency Ads on its platform
Google has made an announcement that coming June, it will stop running the Cryptocurrency Ads on its platform. The company also will not cater any request related to running the ads on its platform
Google might stop displaying Cryptocurrency related ads on it platform from June 2018. Cryptocurrencies have been a hot topic for quite some time now, with its regular rise and fall the digital currency coins have managed to steal the stage away.
According to some reports from the Beebom, Google has made an announcement that coming June, the company will stop running the Cryptocurrency Ads on its platform. The company also will not cater any request related to running the ads on its platform. It is being reported that the tech giant made the announcement that "any adverting about cryptocurrency-related content, including initial coin offerings, wallets and trading advice."
In recent events, Facebook also had banned the ads related to cryptocurrency on its platform to tackle the rise in cryptocurrency related scams, which means that there will be no more advertisements related to Cryptocurrencies and ICOs on the Google search, YouTube, Adwords and other Google properties. Further, Google claims to have removed 3.2 billion ads last year which were violating the ad policies.
As we mentioned above that the social media giant Facebook is banning advertisements for cryptocurrency including ICO (Initial coin offerings) etc as "intentionally broad" policy against the misleading marketing. The effect of the ban could also be seen its other platforms including Instagram, Audience Network and Messenger. Facebook wants people to discover and learn about new products and services on Facebook without any fear of scam or any misleading content. It is also being reported that there are numbers of companies advertising ICO, Cryptocurrencies and other binary options. Twitter's CEO Jack Dorsey has recently made a revelation that the company is working towards fixing the recent series of cryptocurrency scams on its platform. Further replying to a tweet from Emin Siren, who is a professor at Cornell University, who had highlighted another similar scam and Dorsey, was heard commenting "We are on it".
