Huawei Founder Says US Market Isn't Important For Success

As the year 2019 is coming to an end all the smartphone makers are trying their best to make a good profit in the last quarter of the year. Meanwhile, the United States ban against Huawei has been there for the last six months.

On this matter, Huawei's 75-year-old and CEO Ren Zhengfei said that he is not expecting the US to take the company out of the blacklist anytime soon, and now it doesn't matter.

"They may as well keep us there forever because we'll be fine without them," Zhengfei said in a new interview with The Wall Street Journal. After President Trump added Huawei to the blacklist most of the top executive chose to be diplomatic in their public remark.

Huawei was also leading to dethrone Samsung this year in smartphones across the globe. But the in one move Trump banished American organizations from working with Huawei. Obviously, it thrashed Huawei's desire for becoming the leading smartphone manufacturers this year.

"We can survive very well without the U.S.," Ren told The Wall Street Journal this week. "The China-US trade talks are not something I'm concerned with." The most interesting part of Zhengfei's remark is that there are already rumors claiming that the US is planning to allow US companies to do business with Huawei.

Ren also added, "Trump just gave us the motivation to survive by ourselves and to work harder." He also cleared that there is no need of getting threatened by Huawei's success.

Huawei has been aiming to ship around 300 million smartphones before the end of this year. That was the ultimate goal for the company this year. Let's see when the US government is going to remove the company from its blacklist.
