IMC to kick off from 27th September

India is all set to showcase its Mobile Congress 2017 first ever global Mobile, Internet and Technology event on Septemeber 27-29 in New Delhi.

The event, will include a conclave, an exhibition and an awards ceremony, and will also see thematic pavilions and innovation zones, spread across 15,000 square meters, featuring 300 exhibitors from ICT, TMT as well as the Government sector, Embassies and States.

The International event would attract more than 500 start-ups, 2,000 delegates from India and other countries making 1,50,000 footfalls.

The three day event will have 21 sessions which will have themes like "Digital India", "Internet Governance", "Smart Network: The future of networking", "Digital Identity for Digital World", "Women in Tech", "Emerging Technologies in a 5G Future", "Cloud & Virtualization", "Digital Infrastructure towards the Digital Economy" and many others and the sessions will be followed by two startup pitches.

At the preview event, Amit Marwah marketing head at Nokia India said, " The company will showcase and demonstrate new cutting-edge technologies relevant to India, infact a range other of smartphones are participating like Indian handset maker Micromax, Lava, LG, Oppo, Vivo will showcase their technologies at the event.

Sterlite Technologies is also planning to launch its locally developed and manufactured 5G solution.

Telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) will showcase its satellite phone.

The special addresses at the event are expected to be delivered by the Minister Manoj Sinha, Minister, MOC, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Minister of Law & Justice and Electronics and Information Technology, Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of Defence, Aruna Sundarajan, Secretary, DoT, Ajay Prakash Sawhney, Secretary, MeitY and corporate leaders like Sunil Bharti Mittal, Founder & Chairman, Bharti Enterprises, Mukesh Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Industries Limited, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman, Aditya Birla Group, Vittorio Colao, CEO, Vodafone Group Plc. COAI also announced Google India as the Title Sponsor of the India Mobile Congress 2017.
