Indian telecommunication solutions provider Matrix Cellular has brought a new roaming offers for travelers leaving for the UK and USA.

The new plan will offer customers to make free calls to India. In addition, incoming calls will also be free for people traveling to the UK. Moreover, customers who are hooked to their emails or other social media sites on their Smartphones can also activate data services on their handheld at just one-tenth the cost of International Data Roaming charges.

Arun Batra, CEO was quoted in the company press release saying, “The free calls to India is yet another industry’s first and unique offering from Matrix...which will give customers huge savings on their International Roaming bills.”

He further went on saying, “Through these special pricing offers, we intend to tap the massive potential in the international travel segment and to double our subscriber base. The promotion is just a trial run and we will provide more of such offers after seeing the reaction of the market and present the best bouquet of services to customers traveling to other countries as well.”

When traveling to the UK and USA, making calls to India accounts for nearly 60% of one’s International Roaming bills. When using your Indian number on International Roaming, a customer has to pay around Rs. 140 per minute to make calls from UK and around Rs. 250 per minute when calling from USA. Using a Matrix SIM card will enable one to save enormously on their International Roaming expenses by making free calls to India. 

Further, Matrix in partnership with T-mobile in UK and AT&T in USA aims to attract a major portion of the Indian tourist traveling to the UK and USA.
