iPhone 17 Craze Turns Ugly: Fight Breaks Out at Apple Mumbai Store
The iPhone 17 series has officially hit the shelves in India, sparking a frenzy among eager buyers. Apple has four flagship stores in key cities: New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Pune. Excited customers have been queuing up since night to get their hands on the latest iPhone models.
Amidst the excitement, social media and PTI videos captured chaotic scenes outside the Apple store at BKC Jio Centre in Mumbai. People were seen pushing and shoving each other, leading to a scuffle that required intervention from security personnel.

Security Concerns at Apple Stores
The commotion was largely attributed to insufficient security measures. Many shoppers and bystanders voiced their concerns about the situation. Mohan Yadav, who travelled from Ahmedabad to purchase an iPhone, shared his disappointment: "I've been waiting since morning, but people keep cutting lines. The security has no control, and those standing behind have no chance to buy."
Apart from Mumbai, Apple Stores in other cities also witnessed massive turnouts. In New Delhi, hundreds of buyers camped overnight outside the Saket Select Citywalk Mall to be among the first to get the iPhone 17. Bengaluru too saw long lines of eager customers, though the crowd remained relatively more orderly compared to Mumbai.

India Today spoke to several people waiting in line, some of whom had traveled from as far as Punjab. A few buyers said they had been in queue since 1 a.m.. In New Delhi, the queue stretched across two floors of the Select Citywalk Mall, with limited seating arrangements provided for those waiting.
Overall, while the excitement surrounding Apple's latest release is palpable, it underscores the importance of effective crowd control measures to ensure a positive experience for all customers involved.
