LG Announces WebOS Smart TV and UHD TVs in India
After introducing the world's first curved OLED technology in India, LG Electronics will unveil a comprehensive Ultra HD TV line up along with the first Web OS technology based smart LED television at the India Gadget Expo. The new Ultra HD TV has exceptional picture quality which is complemented by a rich audio produced by a forward-facing 5.2 multi-channel sound system designed in collaboration with Harman Kardon. Embodying LG's new Ultra Surround Sound concept, the speakers create an auditory experience that takes the viewer deeper into the onscreen environment.
Another innovative technology introduced by LG in India is the World's first Smart Television with Full HD Cinema 3D and Smart LED Screen on the WebOS platform with an intuitive Launcher Menu, a user interface that presents users with entertainment options and assists in organizing utilities into a neat viewing history. The Launcher comes with an integrated 3D World, a Web Browser and the LG App Store that has on offer latest movies, television shows and games. This television has a cinema screen design and an Ultra slim profile, with finger gesture control. Globally LG has sold more than 1 million units of Web OS enabled smart TVs since the launch in March 2014.

Immersive Visuals with Ultra HD TV
The LG Ultra HD TVs incorporate In-Plane Switching (IPS) panels that offer exceptional color accuracy and consistently superb picture quality with minimal color distortion from practically any vantage point. LG's Ultra HD Engine Pro offers the processing power necessary to achieve the 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) and a proprietary chip that works in conjunction with the engine to eliminate any visual artifacts. LG's newest Ultra HD has the ability to upscale standard HD and Full HD content to near 4K quality.
LG's CINEMA 3D technology offers the most immersive viewing experience in the industry, producing a convincingly realistic 3D effect with minimal flicker in 4K resolution. On LG's larger Ultra HD units, the effect is even more stunning and impressive and the unique 3D control feature makes it possible to adjust the degree of 3D at the touch of a button. All 2014 Ultra HD TV models from LG are equipped with an advanced 3D conversion engine for those times when 2D just isn't enough.
To ensure that its latest models deliver the very best in sound, LG teamed up with Harman Kardon, one of the most respected names in the audio industry. LG's new Ultra Surround system, combined with Harman Kardon's expertise, pulls the viewer deeper into the onscreen action with audio that has never sounded more real.
The UB9800 comes with a sophisticated upscaling function that takes SD, HD or Full HD content and renders it in sharp, near Ultra HD quality. Working in tandem with the upgraded Super Resolution Algorithm, the Tru-Ultra HD Engine Pro guarantees a more enjoyable viewing experience by eliminating the visual errors common to other upscaling systems. In addition, the Tru-Ultra HD Engine Pro also supports a technique called 4K Motion Estimation Motion Compensation (MEMC), which ensures that all 4K Ultra HD content appears lifelike and free of motion blur.
Simplify Smart TV Experience with WebOS TV
LG's WebOS TV features an exceedingly intuitive user interface which is both seamless and refreshingly uncomplicated. It features a left-to-right scrollable menu called the Launcher which makes it possible to switch between all forms of content, be it broadcast TV, VoD movies, games, apps, or media files stored on connected devices. Features like Live Menu, which lets users browse channels, view recommendations and search for content, and Today Menu, which give users a real time selection of the most popular content, make sure you never run out of good content to watch. Throughout the setup process, an animated character called ‘BeanBird' is on hand to help you connect and familiarize yourself with the new features and functions of the WebOS enabled LG Smart TV.
Launching this year, LG's WebOS platform will introduce consumers to the smoothest, most convenient smart TV user experience yet. Making TV simple again, the exciting new platform represents the development and design expertise of LG's innovative Smart TV division.
WebOS-based LG Smart TVs deliver a greater degree of freedom than previous TVs. For example, users can easily search and enjoy YouTube content or conduct an internet search while watching broadcast TV - all with just one or two clicks of the Magic Remote. In addition, the initial setup process is fun and easy to follow, without the normally cumbersome and complicated task of activating the TV.

The Ultra HD TV new models are available in different screen size of 84, 79, 65, 55, 49-inches and in price range of 1.5 to 15 Lakhs.
