LG Nexus 5 With Fingerprint Scanner Spotted In Google Developers Video

Google announced its native fingerprint technology for the latest Android M at its annual I/O 2015 developer conference a few day ago, and now a video at Google Developers revealed a modified version of the Nexus 5 with a bio-metric reader.

The video with Nexus 5 show up with Android Play, which Google officially introduced at I/O conference. The video shows a tutorial on how the new fingerprint scanning API and mobile payments will work with the latest Android platform.

Unfortunately, Nexus 5 in the video is not a new device, Google somehow managed to enhance the older device and upgraded with an extra module in the back, next to the camera.

But, it is also rumored that next-gen Nexus 5 with fingerprint scanning technology is on board. Google and LG is reportedly working on the Nexus smartphone. The phone will sport a 5.2-inch display, powered by a Snapdragon 808 Soc, a 2700mAh battery and will come with reversible USB Type-C charging port.

There are also rumors that Huawei is also working on Nexus smartphone with 5.7-inch display and will be more powerful with Snapdragon 810 processor under the hood.
