Offering cloud storage space as an add on is being employed by many as a promotional strategy. We have seen online storage players like Dropbox also introducing this. Now LG Android users are going to get 50 GB of additional cloud storage space in Box when they buy Android smartphones from LG.

LG has not put any constraints on users in terms of how they use up this 50 GB of extra cloud storage space. The only pre-requisite is to have the Box for Android app on your device and have a valid account with them.

In order to avail this special extra free storage space, users need to sign in through the Box app in their Android smartphones before Dec 31, 2012. Those users who are yet to install the Box for Android app can download it from here. Since the storage space is completely online, there are no problems foreseen in the data access as well. Users could store anything from anywhere in this extra space. LG sources have confirmed that the storage space offered would be totally free, safe and secured. Users would also be allowed to share files stored in this extra storage space.
