Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook

Chinese computer-maker Lenovo launched an ultrabook named ThinkPad X1 Carbon, the world's thinnest Ultrabook in the 14 inch display size segment

As per Lenovo, the device has 8mm thickness and weighs in at 1.36kg. The lighter weight is made possible as it is constructed using carbon fiber, the raw material used to make Formula 1 cars.

ThinkPad X1 Carbon has a 14 inch HD+ display and a standard rechargeable battery providing 6.3 hours of battery life. It also offers 3G connectivity SIM-slot as an optional feature, 256GB SSD and latest generation Intel Ivy Bridge processor.

The ultrabook will run on Windows 7 OS but it can be upgraded to Windows 8 soon after the release of the platform. The new Ultrabook will be available at a price tag of Rs. 85,000.
