Mobile Phones and SIM Cards Seized from Khagaria jail
Khagaria, Dec 24 (PTI) A dozen mobile phones and nine SIM cards were seized today from different wards of a divisional jail in Bihar's Khagaria district.
Acting on the directive of District Magistrate Raushan Kumar, police raided the prison and seized a dozen mobile phones and nine SIM cards from various wards, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Bimalesh Chandra Jha said.

One mobile phone was seized from a ward housing a Maoist, identified as Lambua, he said. The seized mobile phones and SIM cards have been deposited at Chitragupt Nagar police station, he said.

An FIR has been lodged against the inmates from whose wards these mobile phones and SIM cards have been seized, Jha said. He said action will be taken against jail officials and guards for allowing the inmates to use prohibited items.
