Motorola Invites for September 5 Event: Is Droid Razr HD On the Way?
US phone manufacturer and wireless operator Motorola and Verizon have respectively invited the media and tech experts of the industry at a press event on September 5 in New York. Well, rumors about the release of Droid Razr HD, the next flagship smartphone from Motorola were already widespread online however with today’s news break, the companies have officially hinting at a possible launch for the rumored Droid Razr HD.
Reportedly, the invite displays a picture of New York City's Gotham Hall where the event is scheduled to take place.
According to Mashable report, the words "On Display" is featured prominently at the top of the invite, and likely alludes to a higher-resolution screen for the Razr HD, Motorola's follow-up to its Droid Razr.
Already, last week, Gizbot carried a report hinting that the international handset maker is prepping to launch the Droid Razr HD in October alongside the Razr Maxx HD.
If the rumors turn out to be true, the Droid Razr HD will be the first Motorola smartphone sporting a 720p HD display to be a part of the 4G LTE network of Verizon Wireless.
What Features to Expect?
The Motorola Droid Razr HD is rumored to have a 4.5 inch Corlorboost high definition display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. It will have an 8 MP camera and on screen navigation buttons. Furthermore, the smartphone will be equipped with a 1.5 GHz dual core Qualcomm S4 processor. The handset will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS and will be powered by a 2530 mAh Li-ion battery.
