MTS launches World Cup pack offering free minutes to users

In a bid to cash in on the cricket World Cup fever, Sistema Shyam TeleServices Ltd (SSTL) today launched an offer for pre-paid customers wherein free minutes will be awarded every time India hits a boundary.

The customers need to recharge with Rs 215 to get a host of benefits, including full talk-time, free subscription of cricket alerts and also an extra minute of local talk time for every 4 or a 6 scored by Team India, the company said in a statement.

The promotional offer is valid for 30 days across all the 9 circles where the company provides telecom services. SSTL, which operates under MTS brand, said the top 5 customers who buy the most number of recharges during the offer month will get additional talk time of Rs 215, if India wins the World Cup.

The rewards also keep on increasing with an increase in number of recharges, like if a customer recharges twice with Rs 215, he gets 2 free local minutes for every 4 or 6, in case he recharges thrice, he will get 3 free local minutes. SSTL has around 10 million customers in India.
