MWC 2025: Intel Expands AI PC Lineup with Core Ultra Series 2 Processors
At MWC 2025, Intel introduced its latest lineup of Core Ultra Series 2 processors, aiming to bring AI-powered computing, improved performance, and better efficiency to commercial desktops and laptops.
The new series includes the Core Ultra 200U, 200H, 200HX, 200S, and 200V processors, with a focus on enterprise security, remote management, and AI-driven workloads.

A Push for AI in Business Computing
Intel sees 2025 as a major refresh cycle for enterprise PCs, emphasizing AI capabilities and security features. David Feng, vice president of Intel’s Client Computing Group, highlighted that the new processors are built for a range of business needs, from lightweight office laptops to high-performance workstations.
Performance comparisons indicate noticeable improvements over older hardware. The Core Ultra 7 265H processor, for instance, shows:
- 2.84x better multicore performance in Cinebench 2024 compared to an Intel Core i7-1185G7 from four years ago.
- 1.39x faster productivity performance in Procyon benchmarks.
- 1.97x improved video editing speeds in Procyon tests.

Availability and Release Timeline
The rollout for Intel’s Core Ultra Series 2 processors will take place in stages throughout 2025:
- Core Ultra 200V series with Intel vPro is already available.
- Core Ultra 200U, 200H, 200HX, and 200S-based systems will ship by late March 2025.
- Intel vPro Fleet Services, designed for IT remote management, is currently in preview, with general availability expected soon.
- Systems under the Intel Assured Supply Chain program will launch in the second half of 2025.
With AI integration and enterprise-focused features, Intel’s latest processors reflect a broader shift toward AI-driven business computing. The impact of these developments will depend on how organizations adopt AI-powered workflows and security solutions in the coming years.
