MWC Shanghai 2015: Top 5 Things We Expect to See This Year!
The Mobile World Congress, Shanghai is round the corner and hence we felt that it was high time we gave our readers an insight on what to expect from the event.
Yes you guessed it right, the GSMA 2015 is now under the banners of MWC and hence the new name. But just like every year there is lot to expect from this heavyweight event. The event is scheduled to take of on 15 to 17 July. The event, co-ordinated jointly by Huawei and GSMA will features round 350 exhibitors from various niche.
Recent trends suggest that we are on the way to receive an in depth info on the Roadmap of 5G networks and that's damn interesting! Why? It's because 5G will have to be the main powerhouse behind the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT basically refers to an environment where we will be flooded by smart devices round us-where even our fridge, microwave would behave in a much holistic way by communicating with each other. 5G would also lead the path to mass commercialization of self-driven cars as the higher bandwidths (1 gigabit speeds) plus better latency (5 millisecond over the previous 10-15 millisecond of the 4G networks). We are expecting keynotes from CEOs of network giants like Docomo, Nokia and China mobile on these. India fans will also have something to cheer at the GSMA this year as Intex has scheduled a launch event on the 15th of July where they plan to launch their flagship model. Previously we have seen Indian OEM Micromax. There is also news about Egis, a leading fingerprint sensor provider, to launch their newest lineup of fingerprint IC sensors, authentication solutions, mobile payment solutions based on FIDO specifications and PKI as well as their FIDO Certified UAF & U2F products. With an incredible size as tiny as a wireless mouse receiver the YuKey USB U2F dongle is world-class authentication product using Egis' very own EH570 sensor. In addition to fingerprint authentication, YuKey U2F dongle will feature driver and software free, password replacement, dynamic login, and digital signature encryption. We are also expecting barrel of smartwatches from Chinese OEMs. Smartwatches are now trending among Chinese OEMs of late with players like Umi, Oukitel teasing their products. To conclude, there is not much information know as of now. We are pretty excited though to find out more. Are you? If so do stay tuned to our live coverage of this mega event right from Shanghai!
