The National Aeronautics and Space Administration, better known as NASA, has offered a preview of multiple upgrades to its public-facing websites and platforms. The revamped online destinations will offer high-quality content for free.

NASA Is Rejuvenating Its Websites And Content Library For Better Access To Everybody

NASA is revamping all of its science websites. The beta version of the new website is already up and it can be accessed by heading to Beta.NASA.Gov.

NASA is inviting the general public to explore the website and submit feedback. Based on these suggestions, NASA promises to continue updating and improving the beta site on a rolling basis.

The changes to its main websites are intended to improve ease of access and content consumption, indicated NASA. As the press release mentions, the websites will include all information on the "agency's missions and research, climate data, Artemis updates, and more." Both the nasa.gov and science.nasa.gov websites will be updated based on user feedback.

What Is NASA+ Streaming Service And When Will It Be Available?

NASA appears to be building a public-facing content library so that the general public has access to official and high-quality content straight from the source. These websites are expected to contain articles, images, and even stories as well as testimonials from scientists, engineers, and even astronauts.

In addition to the revamped websites, NASA will also launch NASA Plus later this year. The streaming platform is expected to be available as a separate app. However, some reports suggest NASA may integrate the streaming service into the official NASA app, which is being redesigned as well.

The NASA+ streaming platform will be free of ads. There won't be any subscription needed to access the content. NASA has promised it will offer unrestricted access to the agency's Emmy Award-winning live coverage.

Apart from live coverage of launches and space missions, NASA+ will also offer new series. NASA has produced several documentaries, which include interviews with astronauts. All such content in high definition, is expected to be available right from launch day.

NASA has not announced the date for the launch of the NASA+ streaming service yet. However, the agency is urging the general public to visit the redesigned websites and offer feedback, which can be used for the NASA+ service.
