Nokia makes use of marketing blitz for Lumia phones
Nokia, the largest maker of mobile phones has launched a new marketing and advertising blitz so as to push the all new line up of smartphones, Lumia that is based on the Windows Phone 7 platform. According to the general manager of the Western region of Nokia India, Prashanth Mani this marketing and advertising blitz is the biggest one launched made by Nokia for its products.
This marketing blitz is known as Amazing Everyday soon the Jet Airways flight will be branded and painted with the colors of Nokia Lumia. This will also be done on taxis, buses and cars as well. But still there is no information provided about the plans of Nokia to launch a new tablet in the next year as mentioned by the head of Nokia France, Paul Amsellem that in June 2012 the company will launch a Windows 8 powered tablet.
Nokia India and telcos are working effectively to bundle up some 3G data packages with the Lumia smartphones. Mani also added that Nokia India is in talks with the leading service providers to club the 3G data packages along with Lumia smartphones within a couple of months.
The company has also trained over 12,500 people across India to offer some assistance to the consumers and is working with more than 1000 developers in the country to develop some applications for the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango platform.
Though the company uses the Mango platform, it has not left the previous ones like Anna and Belle versions of its Symbian operating system and claims that they will exist till 2016. Nokia Lumia smartphones will target the youngsters in the age group 22 to 24 years and so is the marketing campaign too.
