Nokia MD-12: Bluetooth Speaker Announced at Microsoft’s BUILD 2014
Off late, Nokia has been busy churning a number of affordable handsets to create an edge over competitors.
Not only did the Nokia Lumia 630/ Lumia 635 and the Lumia 930 made an impact at this year's Build 2014, but also an unforgettable new little NFC-enabled speaker which reverberates sound through any surface it's placed on.
Yes, Nokia announced its new NFC speaker, dubbed the MD-12. It's a wireless speaker that hooks up via Bluetooth.
To complement the style of its latest Lumia range, Nokia has gone gaga over the MD-12 (confusing name, though). This little Bluetooth speaker offers 15 hours of playback, and costs just over €39 (about Rs. 3,230). Sounds great, doesn't it?
Nokia says the MD-12 comes in the same distinctive colors of yellow, green, orange and white. The speaker just weighs 180 grams.
The MD-12 mini speaker doubles as a smart speakerphone, and it can be connected via Bluetooth or NFC. With the new Nokia Device Hub app, users can easily manage the speaker and other connected accessories.
While there is no confirmation on the exact India release date of MD-12 in India, but it could be launched in the coming months ahead.
