Pope has chosen Android for this Christmas

Pope makes use of Android powered Sony Tablet S this Christmas to light up the Christmas tree. Pope Benedict XVI had already promised to use the Apple iPad 2 for the Christmas but has now eschewed this promise and swapped it for the Android powered recent launch Sony Tablet S to light the world's tallest Christmas tree.

Till now there is no particular reason known for this swap at the last minute. The world's tallest Christmas tree is about 2,132 feet tall and it can overlook the Italian town, Gubbio. This tallest Christmas tree is comprised of over hundreds of trees that are grown on the slopes of the Mount Ingino that is decorated with several miles of Christmas lighting.

It is actually an arrangement of colored lighting. This year, the tree was lit by the Pope from a distance of about 130 miles by simply pressing on the virtual button on the Android powered Sony Tablet S.

Previously, the Pope was spotted with the iPad to launch the Vatican's website and now he has swapped it to the Sony tablet. This shows that the Pope is not brand exclusive and has taken the Sony product to great heights.
