Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 vs Kirin 950: Which One is A Better Chipset
The SoC war in the mobile industry is getting fiercer with every passing day. With Snapdragon finding its way into maximum handsets the company has recently launched it's 64bit 808 and 810 processors.
Kirin, a brand owned by Huawei is also into manufacturing SoCs for latest phones and flagship devices from many OEMs. Kirin 950 is the latest 64 bit chipset the company has to offer.
Let's see how both the SoCs face-off against each other.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 vs Kirin 950
Huawei's Kirin 950 uses ARM's spanking new Cortex-A72 processor designs. The SoC showcases an Octa-core(4+4) CPU configuration which is a 64 bit CPU. Capable of speeds upto 2.4GHz.
The Snapdragon 810 has a Quad-core ARM Cortex A57 and quad-core A53 with 64-bit support.

The Kirin 950 boasts of a ARM Mali T860 GPU.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon on the other hand has an Adreno 430 GPU.

In matters of DSP Hisilicon's Kirin 950 uses a Tensilica HiFi 4 DSP.
The SoC from Qualcomm on the other hand uses a Hexagon V56 DSP.

ARM's Cortex-A72's prowess will allow users to record 4K videos at an impressive frame rate of 120 FPS. The Kirin is well equipped for delivering sharp photos and astounding images.
The Snapdragon 810 is also capable of 4K video recording and efficient playback as well. The SoC will also support 4K Ultra output to HDTV 1080p and 4K external displays.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 vs Kirin 950
The dual ISP on the Kirin 950 can support camera resolutions of upto 42 MP. The SOC also uses an Intel i7 as a co-processor.
Qualcomm also has a dual ISP for camera on it's SoC and this one can support a 55MP cam. There is no co-processor on this device as such.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 vs Kirin 950
Both the chipsets are fast when it comes to modem speeds. The Qualcomm Chipset supports LTE category 9 speeds which is a whopping 450Mbps.
Huawei is also not far away in these terms. The Hisilicon brand Kirin 950 supports LTE category 10 and the feature will be available in a dual sim model too.

The connectivity options on the Kirin 950 include UFS 2.0, eMMC 5.1, SD 4.1, WiFi, BT 4.2 smart, USB 3.0 and NFC.
The Qualcommm's SoC also has a bundle full of features. Thy
include Qualcomm VIVE 2-stream Wifi, USB 2.0 and USB 3.0, eMMC 5.0 SD 3.0 , UFS Gear2 2L, BT 4.1 and NFC.
