Rajkumar Hirani, Kunal Kapoor Share Stage as Dailyhunt Parent Shows AI That Turns a Story Into a Finished Film
What if you could tell an AI what your story is about, and have it take care of the writing, direction, camera work, sound and editing? That is the idea behind Spark Station, an AI content-generation platform from VerSe Innovation, the parent company of Dailyhunt, Magzter and Josh.

The company showcased a new set of AI filmmaking workflows at SPARK, its AI Creativity Summit, held in Mumbai on October 28, with Google Cloud as the title partner. The event brought together more than 500 filmmakers, studio heads, broadcasters, brand leaders and creators, including filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, Shakun Batra, actor and entrepreneur Kunal Kapoor, and Varun Mayya.
The platform aims to take creators from an idea to a finished film, with tools for developing stories, creating characters, generating scenes, editing footage and finishing a project. VerSe also demonstrated how Spark Station can combine real actors with AI-generated environments, or use AI agents to handle different parts of a production.
VerSe Innovation’s Spark Station aims to bring an AI film crew to creators
One of the key workflows showcased at SPARK was an AI film crew that can handle different parts of production. Users can describe a film, after which AI agents focused on direction, writing, art, camera, sound and editing work towards creating the final output. VerSe says creators can make changes through conversations with the system.
The platform also offers a hybrid filmmaking workflow that combines real actors with AI-generated environments. Creators can capture a performance and use Spark Station to build the surrounding world, including locations, sets, crowds, props and camera movements. The workflow includes tools for character consistency, compositing and finishing.
Another feature, Story to Video Pro, is designed to take a project through a continuous production pipeline. It covers story development, scripts, casting, characters, locations, storyboards, scenes, shots, keyframes, rendering and editing. Users can finish their projects in Spark Station’s AI Video Editor or export them to editing software such as Final Cut Pro, Avid, DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere Pro.
What makes Spark Station different?
VerSe Innovation says Spark Station is built around six key features, including character continuity, checks on shots before rendering, a continuous workflow from story to video and audio, and the ability to use different AI models for different tasks.
The platform also estimates the cost of a shot before it is rendered, according to the company. This could help creators plan production budgets before committing to a generation.
Speaking at the summit, VerSe Innovation founder and CEO Umang Bedi said the platform brings real performances and AI into the same frame, giving creators more control over how they tell stories.
Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani said AI could reduce the role of production budgets in deciding which stories make it to the screen. Shakun Batra, meanwhile, said AI does not replace creative judgement, but can help close the gap between the film a creator imagines and the one they can produce.
Google Cloud, the title partner for SPARK, said it is supporting Spark Station with generative media models including Gemini, Omni and Veo. Amit Kumar, Managing Director of Google Cloud India, said the partnership aims to deliver advanced content-generation capabilities through the platform.
Spark Station also targets advertising and micro dramas
VerSe Innovation is also looking to use AI for advertising production. Its end-to-end advertising workflow is designed to take campaigns from a brief to creative development, targeting and activation, with the company claiming that the process can help brands move from ideas to optimised campaigns in less time.
The platform also includes a workflow for micro dramas, which are short, episodic stories often built around cliffhangers. Spark Station can help create multiple episodes from a single story, while tracking narrative setups and payoffs and planning shots through storyboards.
Other tools showcased at the event include Depth Map, Performance Capture and Mimic Studio. These are designed to work with existing footage, capture performances and expressions, and make it possible to change elements such as characters or objects. Spark Station’s Prompt Intelligence can also tune prompts for different AI models, with user consent, and help correct prompts after failed renders.
