Samsung Equips Iris Recognition In Upcoming Tablets

It seems South-Korean tech giant Samsung is reportedly working on a new version of Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 tablet rumored to be supporting iris recognition. California (US)-based Stanford Research Institute (SRI), is reportedly it has exclusively licensed its Iris on the Move (IOM) technologies for Samsung mobile products.

It is said that the first product manufactured under this agreement will be a Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 tablet with IOM iris module. The tablet will be unveiled at SIA New Product Showcase at ISC West 2015 and will be launched worldwide through SRI partners and resellers.

SRI claims that the iris-based recognition is more accurate than fingerprint sensor, as per some tests. Moreover, there are lots of rumors surfacing about the Samsung's flagship smartphones with iris scanners, so far the company has hesitated to equip.
