Snapchat, an instant messengers service, has received an important update on both Android and iOS platforms.

Snapchat has added some extra security features to log into Snapchat, which is said to protect the users account from being hacked.

The new update will bring Login Verification, which sends a SMS code to the registered mobile number when tried to log into Snapchat on a new devices. User can enable the Login Verification feature from the Settings tab in the application menu of the app.

The update also brings another new feature, Snapchat users can now double-tap the screen while recording a Snap to switch between the front and rear-facing cameras. In addition, the update also brings battery filters that works when your smartphone is low on battery.

Android and iOS users can download the Snapchat in their respective app stores. The app is fully compatible with all Android powered devices running v4.0 and above, while on Apple devices, Snapchat works on iOS 7.0 or later devices.
