Google's flagship device Pixel 2 and Pixel 2XL users are reportedly experiencing issue with the device's temperature along with the battery. As per some reports from gizmochina some users of Pixel 2 and Pixel 2XL are facing issue with the battery of the device and also the device is getting heated up.
The reports further claim that the Google Pixel users are experiencing this issue with battery and temperature after they installed the February security update. The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2XL users took it to the Google Pixel's community forum and Reddit to explain the issue they are experiencing. The users have reported that the smartphone becomes heated up while in the standby mode and also the battery life has been reduced to a noticeable extent.
The reports further suggest that while some of the users are affected with one of the two issues, some of the users are experiencing both the issues. It is being reported that most of the complaints points out that the problems started occurring after installing the February security update. The real reason behind the issue is still unknown.
Further the report suggest that the folks at Android Police have done some investigation and they observed that the Pixel 2 XL is being charged at less than 4W in low temperature conditions instead of the company claimed quick charging (10W+). Google in response to the Android Police investigation replied that they are investigating the change appearing on display message. It is still not clear what is causing the issue and users might not see "Charging Rapidly" written on Pixel 2XL lock-screen after the upcoming update.
Google Pixel series have a long history with similar issues, earlier the smartphone was in news due to random reboot issue to which the company acknowledged and confirmed about the issue. However Google came out and assured the users that they will resolve the issue in the coming weeks through an OTA (over-the-air) Android update. However, the company did not provide any information regarding what cause the issue.
