Sony Debuts Wi-Fi enabled NEX-5R Camera, Premium MDR-1 Headphones

It seems as if the Japanese tech manufacturer is on a launching spree at the IFA 2012, as besides unveiling an array of devices in the smartphone and tablet category, Sony also launched a new mirrorless camera – NEX 5R.

The camera features an APS-C type Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor with 16.1 effective megapixels combined with BIONZ image processor. ISO range stands at 100-25600 for still images. Sony NEX 5R also incorporates a touch screen that can flip through 180 degrees for facilitating smooth capturing of self portraits. The device also facilitates HD video recording. Another added highlight of this camera is its ability to download new features with Playmemories Camera apps.

Wi-Fi facility present in the device allows fast and smooth wireless transfer of images and videos to any smartphone or tablet that runs the Play memories Camera apps. Users can also transfer images and videos to PCs that are part of a wireless network thereby enabling easy back up of camera data.
