Top Facebook Status Updates in 2011

Anna Hazare, the social activist sometime back created a thoughtful movement in India but it is not only in India but also among the Facebook users. The users of Facebook have been discussing and debating on the Jan Lokpal bill and have been making Anna Hazare the person most talked about in this year on Facebook, the social networking site.

The top ten status trends on Facebook used this year were captured by the Facebook Memology 2011 and among them the top most rank was awarded to Anna Hazare and Jan Lokpal Bill for the status updates. In India, in 2011 this topic was ranked the most talked about one and has triggered the roar among the Indians to rage against the corruption.

Social networking websites were used in that point of time only as organizing tools for the protests made by Anna Hazare. The second rank for the most used status updates and sought of topic came to the Ra.One movie of Shah Rukh Khan. The main reason for this is that most users talked and discussed about the Chammak Challo song in that movie.

The other commonly discussed updates were about the death and the condolences for Osama Bin Laden, the terrorist, Jagjit Singh, the singer and the CEO of Apple Inc, Steve Jobs. Facebook users accounts to about 25 million in India alone and 800 million across the world.

Some of the mostly discussed topics include the ones about the cricketers MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh and about the movie RockStar starred by Ranbir Kapoor. The other topics discussed are about the earthquake and the Indian National Congress in the states of Gujarat in 2001 and Sikkim in 2011 respectively.
