World's tiniest microphone is out

An Iranian scientist claims that he has built the tiniest microphone in the world and that it can be used to create invisible hearing aids. The scientist from Noshirvani University in Babol, Bahram Azizollah Ganji claims that he built a microphone of 0.5 mm x 0.5 mm. He also claims that it will be a world record.

This microphone can be used for the medical purposes in order to obtain the accurate sound of heart in cases of diagnosis of any heart problems and also in examining the health of foetus. This microphone can also be used for fishing as well as surveillance systems underwater in order to measure the sound and ultrasound waves that will help in identifying the marine animals.

This tiny mic can be used in the telecommunication systems, in information collecting devices and also in defense systems. This microphone is not visible in the naked eye and it has a high sensitivity and costs quite low. The other advantage of this event is low power consumption.
