Chinese handset manufacturer Xiaomi entered into the Guiness book of world records by selling 2.11 million phones online in 24 hours during its Mi Fan Fest in China yesterday.

Xiaomi Just Entered Guiness Book Of World Record

The company actually achieved this in 12 hours and the OEM earned approximately US $335 million in the timeframe.

Only accessories sold by the firm generated revenue of a staggering 170million yuan.

Deciphering the commodities it actually sold; the company sold 7,20,000 units of smart appliances, 2,47,000 units of Mi power strips, 2,08,000 pieces of the Mi band 79,000 units of Mi Wi-Fi and 38,600 sets of Mi TVs. It also sold 403,000 Power banks, 3,36,000 Mi Piston earphones and 3.12 million units of Mi air purifiers.

The total number of orders placed were 3.05 million and 0.5 million orders were delivered within 12 hours. This feat was achieved by distribution through 12 major distribution centers in China.

A total of 1640 employees were working during this sale. 1800 service centeres answered more than one million questions in one day. The company aims to sell a 100 million smartphones in 2015.
