After launching a smart electric bed, laser projector, and a smart dustbin, Xiaomi has unveiled the Gigabee smart Walkie-Talkie, which comes with many new features. Here are the details of the newly launched product.

The Gigabee Smart Walkie-talkie features a 2-inch IPS color screen and Xiaomi's AI assistant. It allows users to communicate with others from a distance of 5,000 Kilometers. Moreover, users can receive phone calls on the device. It also enables you to track location in real-time without the internet. The newly launched smart Walkie-Talkie is priced at Rs. 399 yuan, (close to Rs. 4,000 in India).

On the connectivity front, the device comes with 4G and Wi-Fi networking. The company is also providing a 4G SIM card for free to the buyers, reports My Drivers. Furthermore, the company claims that the device can provide 60 hours of standby time. However, the report reveals it can only offer 40 hours of usage. Besides, it also supports USB Type-C.

Meanwhile, some media reports suggested that the Chinese smartphone maker is working on a foldable phone which will have a similar design as the Moto Razr. In fact, the latest patent shows that it will feature the same clamshell design. However, it is likely to feature a pop-up selfie camera.

Xiaomi Becomes No 1 Player In Smart TV Segment

On the other hand, a new report by research firm IDC pointed out that the company has become the number one player in the smart TV segment in India. "All our TVs are customized for the Indian consumer with features like Data Saver, Vivid Picture Engine, linear TV integration and more, " Raghu Reddy, Head - Categories and Online Sales, Xiaomi India said.

Adding to that, "We continue to focus on manufacturing in India. Our offline expansion has also played a big role in sustaining our leadership." IDC also reveals that it has a 33 percent market share in the segment, which is higher than Samsung, LG, Sony, and TCL.
