Xiaomi Redmi 2 to Go on Flash Sale Today at 2PM on Flipkart

    Chinese handset maker Xiaomi is geared up for the first flash sale of its Redmi 2 device on Flipkart today. Manu Jain, Xiaomi head, India has announced that it will make 50,000 units available for the sale today, where around 300,000 users have been registered. The sale will begin at 2.00PM and only registered users will be able to participate in the sale.

    The Online retail store suggests users to be online at least 2 hours prior to the sale. The company also suggests to make the purchase quickly, if the Redmi2 is added to your cart.

    The Redmi 2 sports a 4.7-inch display with 720p HD which is translated into 312ppi and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2. Powered by a Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.2GHz the Redmi is announced in 8GB and 16GB variants. The 8GB handset has a 1GB RAM and the 16GB model will have 2GB of RAM. However the 16GB model will be launched later.

    The Redmi 2 flashes a 8MP rear camera with LED flash while the front has a 2MP snapper for selfies and video-calling. Running on Android 4.4 KitKat, the device has a MIUI 6 incorporated into it's OS. The device supports dual SIM LTE support. Meaning, you can use 3G/4G on both your sim cards.

    Moreover, the connectivity options includes dual SIM slots, Wi-Fi, USB OTG, Bluetooth. The Redmi 2 will be available in Pink, Yellow, Green, Grey and White color variants. Priced at Rs. 6,999, Xiaomi Redmi 2 is available exclusively on the e-commerce store Flipkart.
