    Few days back, Micromax latest televentures Yu has launched a naming contest for its next smartphone, dubbed as "Project Caesar".

    Micomax Yu Next Phone 'Project Caesar' Will Be Called Yuphoria

    Finally, the company has revealed the name of the Project Caesar, which is Yuphoria. This name has been selected from the crowd-sourcing campaign #YUNameIt, which is first of its kind.

    The name Yuphoria means zeal, enthusiasm and passion which reflects what YU is committed to bringing to the consumers through innovating and reinventing technology, said the company.

    This crowd-sourcing campaign has received more than 1,00,000 entries out of which YUPHORIA, YUKNIGHT, YUNICORN, YUNITY, YOUTH has made in to the top 5 for the voting from April 4th to 6th.

    As promised by the company, five randomly picked winners will from the contest will get their new Yu device, also the participants have won Amazon gift cards worth Rs. 1 lakh.

    According to the company officials, the Yu Yuphoria will be hit the market shelves in the Indian market around Q2 2015.

    Earlier, the company has released the teaser of the Project Caeser by taking a dig at the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi, saying "KitKat in the age of Lollipop, give me a break!". Also, we have reported that, Yu Yuphoria is expected to be shipped with Android 5.0 Lollipop.

    On the other hand, Yu Yureka will go on the flash sale today at 2PM on Amazon India at Rs. 8,999. It is packed with 5.5-inch HD IPS display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 MSM8939 Octa-Core processor, Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front snapper, 2500mAh battery.
