How can the internet connection be accessed?

Users will require a special internet antenna, attached to their building, which will allow them to connect to the balloon network. "The signal bounces from balloon to balloon, then to global internet back on Earth," explained Google.

For how long?

So the Balloons will go around the world delivering Wi-Fi to remote areas using some souped-up technology that's been built into them. They have the capacity to stay to stay in the air for 100 days. Pam Desrochers said that the time limit offered by these balloons go beyond the capability of most weather balloons that travel at the same stratospheric heights that, according to Cnet.

What are they made of?

Desrochers explained that the balloon material is rubber-band like. Each individual unit will require 500 square meters of the material. She also went on to add that since the balloons will be exposed to extreme temperatures, both hot and cold, the materials used to make them must be exceptionally hard.

They will also have to be resistant to things like ultra-violet radiation and inclement weather, as it could lead to some serious damage and leaks.
