OPPO's A Series of smartphones have been known for offering customers a mix of style and performance at a price tag that has always been kind to the wallet. I recently spent some time with the OPPO A3 Pro and here are my thoughts.

The OPPO A3 Pro sports a Damage-proof ALL-Round Armour Body that features dual certification of military-grade shock resistance and Swiss SGS. This has been achieved thanks to the use of shock-resistant materials bout outside and inside.

The protective glass over the display offers extra puncture resistance. OPPO also ships the A3 Pro 5G with a shockproof protective case in the box, which comes as a welcome surprise and looks tough enough to endure falls and drops with ease.

The OPPO A3 Pro was able to endure an accidental drop from the table at work without any visible issue at all and it has endured being stuck in a pocket with a bunch of keys multiple times and come out without a scratch every time.

The OPPO A3 Pro also features IP54 splash resistance which combined with the brilliant splash touch feature allows you to use the display even with water droplets or water mist on it. So even if you have sweaty palms after a session in the gym or accidentally splash some water on it while freshening up, the A3 Pro 5G's display is still usable.

The A3 Pro arrives with OPPO's brand new 5,100mAh Hyper Energy Battery pack that supports 45W SUPERVOOCTM Flash Charge.

The new Hyper Energy battery pack features two new materials- a brand new electrolyte that can form a self-healing film on both poles of the battery pack and the new A/B diaphragm which helps provide better battery performance and stability.

All these new materials and safety coatings mean that the battery of the A3 Pro is safer and more durable. The A3 Pro 5G's battery pack will retain over 80% of its capacity even after 50 months of usage, something that has been determined through 1600 cycles (up to 4 years) of charging and discharging tests in the laboratory.

An Ultra Smooth Display That Delights

OPPO has fitted the A3 Pro with the brightest LCD display of 6.67 inch in the segment. The display offers a typical max brightness of 850 nits which rises to 1,000 nits of peak brightness in sunlight mode. In our time with the A3 Pro, we never found ourselves straining to see what was on the screen when using the phone in the sun.

The display also features a 120Hz refresh rate and can switch between 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz and 180Hz depending on the usage scenario. This means you can enjoy your games at their highest possible frame rates when gaming on the A3 Pro that too without any strain on your eyes.

Additionally, it's now easier than ever to hear audio output or phone calls with exceptional clarity thanks to Ultra Volume Mode, which boosts the phone's loudspeaker volume by up to 300% taking your entertainment mood to next level.
